Raised in the Prince George's County sector of Maryland, Amarachi Ekekwe, aka Ms. Amarachi, encapsulates not only black excellence but integrity, empathy, and hard work. Influenced by her Nigerian heritage and the practices of life and her education, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies from Bucknell University, as well as a Masters in Entertainment Industry Management from Carnegie Mellon University, Amarachi is well equipped in the art of multimedia communication.
Ms. Amarachi is also a rapper who believes in using her voice to impact the communities she comes from, in a positive manner. Ms. Amarachi has performed on many stages and has been featured in VoyageLA, Music Xclusives, The DMV Daily, and other magazines and publications.
Her natural aptitude for the fine arts cultivates her spirit and inspires the content she curates. It also helped motivate Amarachi to move to California to surround herself with opportunities to boost her stardom fully. With four EPs and eight singles on all DSPs, Ms. Amarachi has music for everyone. However, she is getting a bit more reflective with her upcoming music.
"Unfortunately, we as a culture have accepted people rapping about shit that doesn't matter and that they don't go through in REAL LIFE. My upcoming project is about my real life, the real emotions that I went through, and how I overcame all my trials and tribulations. I will be unveiling a different layer of my life and emotions, which I don't do often. It's time to rid the airways of meaningless music." - Ms. Amarachi.
Her growth stems from more than just music, and she wants her sound to represent everything she has going for herself. Keep her on your radar; she's terrific.
